Review: Bourjois Paris 1 Second Nail Polish

I bought this nail paint when I was at Delhi airport waiting for my connecting flight to Dubai in May. This is such a perfect nail paint. The color  is so bright. The texture is thick and opaque in one swipe yet not goofy. It is super glossy like a gel manicure.  The brush is un-like other nail paint. It is more thick and wide. With one stroke, it can cover the full nails making the application much cleaner. This nail polish comes with a claim that it dries in 1 second. Which is totally not true. Mine take up to a minute for a completely dry application which is not bad for me. The longevity of this nail paint is average. It lasted me 5 days without getting chipped. I've give it an 9 out 10 and will definitely buy other colors soon.

For more information, check out Bourjois website.

Rambling

I went to the Indian Embassy in Thailand  the other day. There was no guideline and instruction written or posted anywhere. You have to go to the counter and ask the procedure. It makes me so annoyed. And then when they instruct me of the procedure, they linger around, talking to other colleague and check the document super slow. The embassy had no people, no queue, so i don't know why the person was feeling so lazy so reluctant to make the work flow quick. The way they talk to you really annoys me. It's like they don't want to help and talk to us like they are doing us a favor. It's high time, Indian embassy should be service minded and have a concrete procedure.Take for example, American Embassy, they are so quick, helpful and always smiling.

I know comparison is bad. being an Indian origin, I think they should improve the service of an official country's office.

Moroheiya

I love having noodles but because there is a lot of MSG and it made my hair fall, I stop having it. The other day, I went to Tops supermarket and came across this noodle at the counter.I was suprise to read the nutritious facts and all the advertising jazz on the packet. I couldn't believe it. I took a picture of it and left without buying it. When I came home, I started researching about it. And it was so hard to believe that the fact was right. Here is what it is:

Moroheiya is a highly nutritious begetable that was prized by the Egyptians for its health and beauty benefits. The moroheiya used for these noodles is grown organizally on IFOAM (International Federation of Organic Agriculture movements) certified farm in Thailand. The noodels are carefully made using advanced technology in order to retain as much vitamins, minerals and fibers as possible.
Moroheiya is a super vegetable that is more nutritious than spinach, carrots or broccoli in most aspects.

Moroheiya noodles is using organic moroheiya vegetable from Harmony life organic Farm. Moroheiya noodles are very delicious and health noodles. Non artificial color, non fried, non preservative, non egg, non-MSG, vegetarian and low in calories.

I ended up buying a dozen of it. One packet was for 29 Baht. There are two flavor:
- Moroheiya Noodles Shiitake soup consists of dry shiitake mushroom and Japanese sauce.
- Tom Yum flavor is from a Thai dish well known throughout the world.

If you are looking for a quick and healthy meal then go grab some of it.

Istiqlal Mosque Jakarta

I was in Jakarta in March 2013. This is one of the attraction that I manage to take out time to see. The Istiqlal Mosque is Indonesia's laregest mosque and is a sacred place to worship as well as a center for conferences. You will be welcomed by security guide that will take you to a room where you can leave shoes and put on some clothing. Then you will be taken for a walk around, guide was ok, he will give you some facts and take a photo for you. Then at te end of the tour he will say "this is a place where you can tip me". I found it so funny. When I was taking out some money, he was calculating it in Thai Baht for me and says that you will only donate this much? I got scared because I was alone. So I ended up giving 50,000 Indonesian Rupiah which was way too much. Overall, it was so calm and so nice to see how Muslim people worship. It's also the largest Mosque in South East Asia. I enjoyed sitting there quietly and was lost in thoughts.

Ensogo is a website that sell deals or known as coupon discount. It includes restaurant, hotel, spa, gadget, products, special classes and etc. They have new deals every day. The website is user friendly and it is very easy to enroll as well. The buying and paying method is simple. The website has different channel for payment method. The products or service is delivered within 1 or 2 days. I am just enjoying the website. The bad part is, its difficult to control, because there is so many good deals. In the past I had bought a laser treatment and a hotel stay. It all worked just fine. Just few weeks back, I got this traveling bag and do it yourself teeth whitening. It was so cheap that I couldn't resist but buy.

Amla

I have recently discovered this fruit called Amla (Phyllanthus) (Indian Gooseberry). The name means the sustainers or the fruits where the goddess of prosperity presides. This stuff is amazing. I first heard it from my cousin when I was complaining to her about my grey hair. She suggested and sent me a few of Amla products from India.

It is popularly used in inks, shampoos and hair oils, the high tannin content of Indian gooseberry fruit serves as a mordant for fixing dyes in fabrics. Amla shampoos and hair oil are traditionally believed to nourish the hair and scalp and prevent grey hair.

I have just recently been taking it. I will update the results as soon as there is any sign.

Crest 3D WhiteStrip Vivid

Crest 3D white vivid are thing flexible strips that are coated with a tooth whitening gel containing peroxide. I have stain from drinking too much coffee and tea. So i wanted to try these and see if it worked. In one kit it has 20 strips (10 upper and 10 lower strips) for a 10 day treatment. The wearing time is 30 minutes. It says that is enamel safe. Before buying this, I was a bit skeptical as from the review, people were just having sensitivity after usage. But I wanted white teeth so I was okay to have that side affect.

I am very disappointed in the product. I have used the white strips before when they were the classic type. I loved them. This did nothing to my teeth, like nothing. It was such a time consuming. I'd say its a bad product. Also I didn't have any sensitivity after using it which is a plus thing but if the product does not work, that plus point also turns into negative.

Patchi Chocolate from Dubai

Last I remember hearing about this chocolate was I think six seven years back. My friend Neet had mentioned that these were to die for chocolates. This year when I was in Dubai, I was walking in Mall of Emirates and saw the shop. I couldn't resist and headed to try few of their flavors such as Strawberry cheesecake, Amandine, Praline and Dark Chocolate. I only gravitated towards the dark chocolate. There are many chocolate flavors to choose from. The chocolate melts beautifully in your mouth. The taste is awesome.

Patchi was founded in Beirut, Lebanon by mr. Nizar Choucair in 1974. They were first introduced to the UK in 2002.

The Patchi website is wonderful, sit back and enjoy!

Cosmetic / Skin Care Back up

I have just starting having some back up of the things I will surely use. The reason being I am scared I run out of it and I won't be able to wear my make up and secondly I am it will run out of stock when I really need to use it. I know it sounds quite funny but this is the ultimate truth. Usually I would have more of the skin care as a back but I have used up some of it. So gotta stock what  I love before it's gone. Here are the things I stock:
  1. Lancome Miracle Eau de Parfum Spray: this is my all time favorite perfume. It stays on 24 hours and have a very girly smell. Love it.
  2. Origins Plantscription Anti-aging serum with Anogeissus: this has been my holy grail  in the skin care department. You feel the effect of serum right sec after it's applied on the skin.
  3. Mac Cosmetic Make-up wipes: This awesome make up wipes, the only complaint is it is expensive...
  4. Mac Cosmetic Fix +: I use fix plus for things like applying foundation, setting my make up when I apply powder foundation and also to refresh my face between the days.
  5. Mac Cosmetic Brush Cleanser: Most of the times I would my brush to apply my make-up. So to avoid dirty brush, this is a must have..
  6. Mac Cosmetic Studio Fix Powder: This is my every day wear. I cannot live without this powder. It's just the perfect amount of powder I need for a normal day.
  7. Cover Girl LashBlast Fusion Mascara: We don't have cover girl in Thailand, so whenever I travel abroad, I do keep back up of these things.
  8. Maybelline Baby Lips Balm: I wear this 24/7, morning afternoon and evening. I have this everywhere I go. One is my bathroom, one my dressing table, one in my car, one on my office desk, one in my make up pouch and one in my gym bag. So a back up is a must.

All about Primers

Recently I have learned that in order for your make-up to look flawless and long lasting you DO need a good primer. Back in the days, I never understood primer. It was just an additional step in make up routine that would annoy me because it would add another layer on my face and makes it heavy. But if you choose the correct primer that is the same base as your foundation and or powder, it would fit and blend in like no other.

Primers solve a whole lot of skin troubles: they fill in texture (like fine lines or enlarged pores) to create a smooth canvas on which foundation and pigment can lay, and they extend the wear of makeup, preventing shine and mid-day meltdown. The technique on layering the primer is allowing it to set and bong in the skin properly, leaving 5 minutes between application and layering foundation or powder.

 Brand: The Body Shop
Name: Skin Primer Moisturize it
Size: 25 ml
Price: 600 Thai Baht

This is my first ever primer purchase. I had to pick a free product from Body Shop so this primer was my pick. The reason I selected this is because I have dry skin, so this will act as a primer and moisturize at the same time. After using it for several months, even though this primer feels very light and absorbs quickly, I would advise only a thing layer. Any excess would over-tighten the skin. I didn't see much of moisturizing effect as advertised and I suspect the primer has a bit of a shimmer finish. The downfall of this product is it doesn't hide pores and skin imperfection. It surely cannot be used alone to improve the look of skin. However, my choice of Body Shop as a brand is because of it natural ingredients. Like this primer has vitamin E complex, aloe vera and beeswax in it which help protect and soothe the skin.

Review: Benefit POREfessional Primer Review
Brand: Benefit Cosmetics
Name: POREfessional Primer
Size: 22 ml
Price: 1200 Thai Baht
This thing is awesome. For my skin type (dry), it works perfectly. It helps to mattify the skin in just the right places whilst still maintaining the dewy glow  that I've grown to. The texture is just what I like in a primer, thick and velvety which works perfectly under my Pro long wear studio fix foundation. For lasting power I would give it a full ten. Just because I have worn this on a lot of night out and parties, and at the end of the night my makeup still completely intact on my face after dancing and sweating. I have dry skin, and it doesn't dry out my skin at all.  My only downfall for this product is, it's expensive. Other than that, this product is going to be my holy grail from now on!

White color is the body shop primer and cream pinkish on is the Benefit primer
