My Day

Yesterday was quite a handful day for me. I had so many things to do one after the other. With the protest going on here in Bangkok, its difficult to estimate the timing to reach from one place to another. Here is how my day went:

- Early morning I received a call from no caller ID, it was an automatic voice call, saying that we have freezed your card. To hear it again, I pressed on 1, and it dirverted the call to this guy, he picked up and asked me, which bank has been frozen? At the back of my mind, I was wondering, that specific bank should be calling me, so quickly hung up the phone and called the banks that I had account with. All bank said there is no account being block. And all the banks suspect it was a fraud case. I was relieved after I spoke to the bank. All these call were happening when I was driving to work in the morning, with a hell lot of traffic. Just when I hang up, the car behind bang into my car. I was really trying to calm myself down again and again. So called the insurance and got all the paper work done and reach office late. Once reached, there was a fire drill practice for the building. So had to walk down from 24th floor down. This thing took one and half hour. I was starving. When I actually sat for work, I saw this email that my meeting with customer  was prepond to that afternoon (it had to be the next morning) I was freaked out, I didn't prepare anything I had just like 20 minutes left.  It was the most UN-organised meeting I've ever showcases and I so frustrated because I know I could do better and could have been more prepared. So the meeting ended late in the evening. Then after that, I had to find garage to fix my car, so I called several of them to check if there were available. Then had another urgent meeting, went for that then left from work after that. I was so happy to be home and I really thank god for keeping me strong and let this day go smoothly. :)

Quick Update

Have few things to share and it's also something unreal that I would be able to do.
  • This is the fifth month I've stayed away from alcohol (not that I've an alcohol addict) but it's something so easy to do and I never I could substitute it with some other drinks when I could out. Like I would choose and mock-tail or just sipping water all along. Benefit of this is also not putting weight (wink wink) I've not put any rule as such like not to drink, but i've just tried to avoid it only. Let's see how long it will last.

  • I've haven't been clothes shopping for a month now. This is a pure detox for me. What I've been doing recently is just digging old clothes to mix and match and it just feels like new. This is my biggest challenge so let's see how long it goes but I'm sure it wouldn't last since I am a hoarder.
Other than these things, just been working out regularly, keeping my heart rate pumping and adrenalin rushed. I've recently just been following the insanity workout program. It kills and burns like no other. It sweats me out in my 6th minute of the work out. I'm pushing hard and strong this time. I  am not focusing on weight loss but its more on strengthening the muscle.

Weekend is here, today I'd probably go for some workout and probably stay home and apply my henna hair mask.

Peace out and have a great weekend :)

Volvo Trucks - The Epic Split feat. Van Damme

Wicked. It's so hard to believe but yet this is true and real. Unbelievable!!! Great commercial. I also noticed if you look at the line. Only the left truck moved away.

On a moving car, even to stand still is hard. The drivers are so skillful. Van Damme still have it and very daring in deed. Perfect!!

Henna for Hair

Henna has natural properties that help it to correlate with proteins and thus repairs and seals the cuticles which aid hair growth. It also strengthen hair and prevents hair breakage along with adding shine and luster to your mane.

It is a natural dye that also helps in preventing premature greying of hair. Henna is said to balance the pH level in the scalp that not only prevents hair fall but also helps in getting rid of common hair problems like itchy scalp and dandruff.

Henna has cooling and conditioning properties that soothes the scalp and helps curing the dryness of hair by restoring the lost of moisture. Applying henna helps in treating dry and brittle hair and turning them into sleek, shiny and soft tresses.

  • Henna (any brand) I used the colorless and natural one
  • Curd (yoghurt)
  • Lemon
  • White Egg
Mix all the ingredient together to get a paste like substance, make you it is well mixed. Leave the paste mixture for 12 to 24 hours before applying to your hair.

Once you have the paste ready, here are the things you need to prepare:
  • Apply a light coat of Vaseline along temples and hairline on forehead to prevent skin from becoming stained.
  •  Pin an old towel around your neck to prevent clothing and shoulders from becoming stained.
  • Wear gloves!!! This is a must or else it will stain your hand and specially if it gets in your finger, the color stain will last for a long while.
  • Apply the henna paste beginning at the roots to the ends. make sure you apply a thick layer of paste to your hair.
  • When you finish, pin your hair to hold it in place.
  • Henna best work in warm temperature, so you could use a hair dryer to warm the henna of your hair a bit.
  • Leave the henna on your hair for at least a minimum of 6 hours. I usually sleep with it.
  • Rinse out the henna paste by using cool water and a conditioner only rinse the henna paste out of your hair.
  • The first 24 to 48 hours after coloring your hair safely and naturally with henna the color may be quite bright. Relax, don;t worry, Over 1 to 2 days the color will tone down and look natural and healthy.

My hair before applying Henna. Some greying of hair.

After applying a thick paste of henna on my hair.

The morning after, applying henna
