Wedding Ramble - Make up artist

To keep it simple and not feel bad about it, my confirmed make-up artist ditched me for some other wedding. How ridiculous could this be. I've done my make up with her thought but she is really good with brides. I was willing to pay the full amount to her but she didn't even want it. She choose an Indian bride from India over me. I know I was only giving her one function, but hey, I booked and you confirmed me back, why cancel? Just because I wasn't giving her the full wedding? I'm calm down on this issue though as there was nothing I could do nor change. Just wanted this to be in my wedding diary rambling section. Also not to mention, she is my finance really good friend as well, that is another reason why I am not saying anything. But business is business, I wasn't going to pay her less or ask for a discount either. I think it's quite obvious why she ditched me. But anyways, I still have my lovely friend Paveena Rathour, who was doing 2 event for me, so I'd just asked her to do all for me. All settle now.

Body Lotion Hunt

From my last post, you might have guessed, I didn't like the cream I bought. Today I specially grilled down all the cream that was available at the super market and saw each ingredient and the best suited for my skin type. So here we are, I bought the St. Ives naturally soothing body lotion, which was made of oatmeal & shea butter. As mention on the bottle, instant, non-irritating , relief for itchy dry skin This is exactly how my skin type is and without checking the price, I totally grab it. I've tried it once and the result is as claim. But this is just my first use. It smell like morning breakfast and even more convincing points to me were:
- Dermatologist tested
- Gentle for sensitive skin
- 100% natural moisturizer
- Fast absorbing
- Non greasy
- Formulated without parabens or phthalates

It is 21 fl oz and this bottle costed me 470 Thai Baht. Hopefully it does it jobs, its going to be my next favorite of the month.
With the cream, I also found interesting stuff like:
Smooth E extra sensitive makeup cleansing water for face & eye: it is a miceller solution, non irritating cleansing water. It removes make up, smooth and moisture the skin. This product also has no paraben and alcohol in it. Let see how this works

I'm obsessed with eye patch, so I picked up one hydrogel eye therapy patch to give it a try. On the package, it mention:
- High elasticity improvement
- Moisture balance and nutrition supply
- cooling & soothing effect
- No paraben

Last but not the least, is the white glo extra strenth whitening toothpaste. It is formulated for coffee & tea drinkers, so basically to remove stains. Don't know how this is going to work.

Thats all for now ladies.....

Quick grabs

Went to food land yesterday, quickly grab some stuff from the super market. This cherry car fresh near smell so gooood. Totally to die for. As for Jergens, I am still testing out, but just saw the ingredients and  it was a turn off. I should have checked it before. Parabean is a no no for my skin.

The Month of August

It's been forever and ever, and I know I'm going to be saying this in every post. I was away almost the whole of August and kept everything to pause. These are the updates:

My wedding is 4 months away and I had pushed my parents to book the venues for Sangeet and Mendhi asap. The booking part is yet to be confirmed and hopefully this will be done real soon.

We started off with Kashmir and then to Bhutan. I wanted to go Maldives, but my finance thinks that it could get boring after sometime and wanted a place where we can relax and get some activity done too. All of a sudden, he gave the option of Turkey. So now my brother in law is working on the itinerary between Turkey and Maldive. I checked out Turkey, and figured it'll get too cold to enjoy the waters on a beach. I'm gonna cross this off our list really soon and I cannot imagine his reaction.

I have placed all  outfit during my trip to Delhi. Beautiful wedding lengha but changing it to anarkali, which I am super excited about but I will only get it first week of December. (way too long to decide other things) Also another outfit that I am excited about is the sangeet outfit. I didn't opt for a lengha like all brides in Bangkok. I went with a gown and it's super simple and yet elegant. I just hope it's n too less. (finger cross). Another thought provoking is the mendhi outfit. For this one, I just sawa single small patch work, other than that nothing else. Hope Anish brings it on like always. I hope all of these 3 main outfit come out well. I liked all the three dresses but I still doubt the wow factor. Until an unless I see the final one with my own eyes, I will not be satisfied.

Ahh, the dreaded guest list, Since we obviously cannot afford to fee 2000+ mouths on a single night, irrespective of what a great deal we get from the hotel, we need to cut this down and filter our who's going to be invited to the Sangeet (we CANNOT be calling more than 200 from each side. Why is this such a painful exercise??!! arggghhhh

I've started researching of themes I want. It's so difficult to decide. My mind is going totally crazy and I really pity it. I'm talking to two vendors right now and seeing what do they have to offer me. Since I don't have a wedding planner, I'm going to have to direct it all by myself. Will post a few options  soon.

I'll probably add in a few more things in the coming days. Should pprobably go get some things done so my list can get crossed.

See you soon, ladiess.....
